Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking an on-site Operations Manager in Moomba, SA on a 15:13 FIFO roster to lead a 40–50 person operation delivering safe, efficient and customer focused industrial and waste management services while improving productivity, equipment utilisation and financial performance. The Opportunity

Based in Moomba, SA, on a 15:13 FIFO roster, you will lead day-to-day operations to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused industrial and waste management services while improving productivity, equipment utilisation and financial performance.

  • Lead an operational team of 40-50 to achieve service, safety and productivity targets
  • Identify and implement operational improvements that enhance customer outcomes and efficiency
  • Manage equipment utilisation, maintenance and operational compliance activities
  • Partner with our Oil & Gas customer to identify and support growth opportunities

About You

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, hands-on operational leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving performance and balancing customer, safety and commercial outcomes.

  • Experience managing operational teams in a blue-collar environment
  • Demonstrated safety leadership and performance focus
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to identify and generate additional business opportunitiesAbility to manage competing priorities across multiple workfronts and tight timeframes
  • Industrial Services experience preferred
  • Experience in operating high-pressure water blasting equipment (flex lance, tank head cleaners etc.), and supervising high-pressure water blasting jobs is desirable.
