Working at Boskalis is about creating new horizons and sustainable solutions. In a world where population growth, increase of global trade, demand for (new) energy, and climate change are driving forces, we challenge you to make your mark in finding innovative and relevant solutions for complex infrastructural and marine projects.
In this job you will work for the offshore energy division. Boskalis has one of the largest global fleets of specialized offshore vessels, allowing us to carry out a broad range of offshore activities. We provide innovative and sustainable all-round solutions to tackle major worldwide maritime challenges. Our Offshore Energy division supports sustainable energy solutions such as wind energy as well as traditional fossil facilities. We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.
Boskalis offers a unique environment where maritime expertise, operational excellence and project delivery come together — both at sea and onshore.
As an Operations Manager you will manage the operation of a group of vessels during all phases of our projects. Our pool of 34 vessels consists of Anchor Handling Tugs, Construction Support Vessels as well as Ocean towing vessels. You will be the client interface for both internal as well as external clients operating in the renewables and O&G sectors.
In this role, you are responsible for keeping your assigned vessel(s) fully operational and project‑ready at all times. This includes arranging crewing, ensuring technical and operational readiness for upcoming projects, managing the vessel’s financial performance during execution, and ensuring compliance with contractual guidelines throughout charter periods. You work closely with internal stakeholders such as Fleet, Crewing, Commercial and Engineering to align operational execution with project and contract requirements. While the role is primarily focused on operational delivery, you also act as a key point of contact for clients on operational matters during project execution, ensuring clear communication, expectation management and timely resolution of operational challenges. Through this balanced interaction with both internal teams and external clients, you safeguard reliable vessel operations and contribute to successful project outcomes.
Within the Marine Services business unit, projects evolve around floating/ moored structures, such as FPSO’s, FPU’s, TLP’s or SPAR’s as applied in O&G as well as the typical floaters in Floating Wind. Some of the projects this team has worked on are the Offshore Wind Installation Kincardine and the WindPlus Project, close to the coast of Portugal. With the development of Floating Wind solutions worldwide, Boskalis is expanding its fleet and organization further to cope with the increasing demand for our T&I expertise.
