About the role | Mō te tūnga
As an Oracle Systems Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in managing and optimising MSD’s Oracle financial systems (Weka), supporting both ERP Cloud and EPM Cloud environments. Sitting at the intersection of finance and technology, you’ll help ensure the integrity, performance, and effective use of MSD’s Oracle financial platforms to support business and reporting needs.
You’ll work closely with finance, digital and technical teams to configure and enhance Oracle systems, develop and maintain integrations, and deliver high‑quality reporting and insights. This includes contributing to system upgrades and enhancements, improving automated processes, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability across financial systems.
In this role, you’ll take a lead in resolving complex system issues, supporting and training end‑users, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll also mentor colleagues within the Weka Support team and contribute to strengthening system capability across MSD.
What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga
To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced systems accountant with strong Oracle capability and a solid grounding in financial accounting, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience working with Oracle financial systems, particularly Oracle ERP Cloud, EPM Cloud and related reporting tools.
- Strong financial accounting knowledge, with experience supporting month‑end, year‑end, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Experience designing, maintaining or supporting system integrations and automated financial processes.
- The ability to analyse complex systems and data, troubleshoot issues, and apply sound judgement to deliver practical solutions.
- Well‑developed communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience producing or supporting high‑quality financial and performance reporting and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- A collaborative, improvement‑focused mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge, support others, and keep learning as systems and technology evolve.
