Job Description Summary

Outage Engineering is looking for Outage Engineer with GE and Legacy Alstom Gas Turbine technology experience. This role will be responsible for leading outage engineering support for planned outages following Outage Scoping process including engineering scope recommendations, productivity opportunities, extra work identification, and fleet optimization. This position will work with various stakeholders across the Gas Power business including Operations, Global Ops, MYA, FieldCore, Parts Engineering, Configuration Management, Application Engineering, Product Service, CSE and Product Line Management.

Job Description

What you will do:

  • Sound knowledge of GE and Legacy Alstom B/E and F class GT's.

  • Responsible for Engineering support of GT Outage Scope Assessment (OSA) process. Lead outage planning milestone review calls (30m, 24m, 18m, 12m and 6m) with CPM/CSL/Field core with SQDC mindset to layout detailed Engineering recommendations, provide outage scope assessment and Extra Work recommendations to help site plan outages. Capture the latest findings from the milestone reviews in the technical report.

  • Strengthen regional customer planning/account planning for TX/MMP units with strong collaboration with Sales/Comm Ops and ITR teams.

  • Responsible to identify work scope opportunities beyond standard scope for extra work, drive outage productivity and reduce cost.

  • Coordinate and work with cross-functional groups at multiple levels to determine OSA results, plan and strategies.

  •  Lead continuous improvement of the OSA process and application.

  • Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers using reports, records, and letters.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university or relevant experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Experience in planning Outages for GE /Alstom Gas Turbines.

  • Good Understanding of existing Outage Engineering processes and tools.

  • This role requires 10-15% travel to sites within EMEA Able to travel

  • Strong communication skills in English
