PowerNet is seeking an Outage Planner in Invercargill to plan and coordinate outages while ensuring safety and supply quality for 75,000 customers. The role requires NZQA Level 4 in electricity distribution or related field, 3 to 5 years in electricity industry, the ability to analyse network performance and manage up to 66 kV, strong data analysis and report writing, familiarity with protection systems, real time decision making, solid IT literacy, and excellent communication and teamwork. The right candidate is pragmatic, adaptable and eager to learn. We have an outstanding opportunity to join the PowerNet System Control team as an Outage Planner in our Invercargill office.
Although we are looking for an experienced Outage Planner, this can also be an opportunity to step up your career, to learn how to plan, coordinate and manage all of our major planned network outages and the release of network equipment ensuring that safety and supply quality is maintained.
Our network is vast with over 75,000 customers ranging from remote locations, towns to New Zealand’s southernmost city. You will be an integral part of the System Control team ensuring safe access on the network to our field teams and safe supply to our customers.
