Join MorseLife Health System as a Pace Maintenance Technician onsite in West Palm Beach, covering Greenacres and Delray. You will perform electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs on facility equipment, conduct preventative maintenance and QA inspections under the Director of Plant Operations, with a focus on HVAC, chilled water systems, boilers, refrigeration, laundry and dietary equipment. You’ll document work in logs, follow Fire Safety, OSHA and disaster procedures, and stay available for on-call emergencies while communicating courteously with residents and staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and one to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination; no license required. Expect a background screening through the Care Provider Clearinghouse, and tailor your resume to showcase hands-on maintenance, safety training, documentation, and readiness for on-call duties.
SUMMARY
Responsible for performing a variety of electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs on the Center's facilities equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and Quality Assurance inspections under the direct supervision of the Director of Plant Operations.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Performs preventative maintenance on the HVAC, Laundry, Dietary and facility equipment and records all pertinent information on the appropriate logs.
- Performs maintenance and electrical repairs on the chilled water system, boilers, heaters, compressors, refrigeration, laundry and dietary equipment.
- Completes routine and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Understands and complies with all procedures and regulations as related to Fire, Safety, OSHA and Disaster programs.
- Adheres to proper safety procedures while operating, repairing or utilizing all facility equipment.
- Communicates in an effective and courteous manner with all residents, facility personnel and visitors.
- Maintains an available schedule on off-duty hours for on-call and emergency situations.
- Performs other related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
