About the position

As the Packaging Development Manager for Europe and AMEA, you will be responsible for deploying our global and regional packaging strategy across Flora Food Group’s diverse product portfolio. This role is both strategic and operational, requiring strong leadership and project management skills.

You will lead a cross-regional team of packaging professionals, guiding their development and ensuring high performance across initiatives. Working closely with global and regional cross-functional partners, you will champion innovation, drive key packaging projects, and align activities with our Sustainability and business growth agendas.

You will:

  • Lead and inspire a cross-regional team of packaging developers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the execution of global and regional packaging strategies across Europe and AMEA markets.
  • Manage and oversee strategic packaging innovation and development projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including R&D, Marketing, Sustainability, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Identify and implement new materials, technologies, and packaging formats that support sustainability and business performance.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners such as design agencies, toolmakers, and material suppliers to bring innovation to life.
  • Monitor packaging trends, regulatory changes, and sustainability opportunities to inform strategic planning.
  • Balance brand, consumer, technical, and commercial requirements in packaging design and execution.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members to support both individual growth and business success.


So what does it take to be successful in this role?  

You are a seasoned packaging professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and bring over 10 years of experience in packaging R&D or development within the FMCG industry. You are an inspiring leader with a proven track record of developing and guiding teams across multiple regions, successfully managing complex packaging projects, and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions. You are skilled in materials innovation, design-to-delivery processes, and excel in communication, stakeholder management, and driving results with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
