Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Airless Spray Painter with strong hands-on experience in industrial/structural painting. The candidate will be responsible for painting and coating steel and concrete bridge structures using airless spray equipment, as well as applying paint by roller and brush where required.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at heights and in outdoor/project environments and must be able to achieve a high-quality, uniform paint finish in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out airless spray painting of bridge structures, steel structures and other infrastructure assets.
• Apply protective and finishing coatings using airless spray equipment.
• Carry out painting using rollers and brushes in areas where spray application is not suitable.
• Prepare surfaces before painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding and other preparation activities as required.
• Mix and prepare paints/coatings according to manufacturer and project requirements.
• Maintain correct paint thickness, coverage and finish.
• Ensure proper application of primers, intermediate coats and finishing coats.
• Perform touch-up and repair painting works where required.
• Clean, maintain and troubleshoot basic airless spray painting equipment.
• Follow approved method statements, project specifications and safety procedures.
• Work safely on scaffolding, elevated platforms and bridge structures when required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other painting personnel to complete work within project schedules.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure painting tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Airless Spray Painter.
• Strong hands-on experience in industrial, structural or infrastructure painting.
• Experience with airless spray painting equipment is mandatory.
• Must have practical experience using roller and brush for painting.
• Experience in painting steel structures, bridges, viaducts or other large infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of surface preparation and protective coating application.
• Ability to understand basic paint/coating specifications and application requirements.
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of working for extended periods on construction/maintenance sites.
