Home Instead is seeking a Part Time Care Assistant (Drivers Only) to provide non-medical care and companionship across Gillingham, Rainham, Chatham and Rochester. A full driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential and you must be available to work alternate weekends; guaranteed hours contracts cover these areas. Expect minimum one hour visits with competitive pay (£13-£14 per hour, double pay on bank holidays), paid mileage and holiday, funded training up to NVQ levels, a pension and 24/7 confidential support. Responsibilities include companionship, light housework, meal prep, errands and personal care. Care Assistant responsibilities:

Being a Care Assistant is a highly rewarding career where no two days are the same! With minimum 1 hour care visits and client matching, you have the time to provide high quality, person-focused care.

Duties can include:

• Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
• Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework
• Accompanying to appointments or shopping
• Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent

Qualifications

Full Time (40 hours per week) - 07:30 to 14:30 then 16:30 until 22:00 including alternate weekends.

Guaranteed contracts

Our shift pattern guarantees two weekend's off a month.
