About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Patient Services Attendant to join our Perioperative team on a casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts available.
About Sundew Day Surgery:
Sundew Day Surgery located in Joondalup, is a modern purpose-built 23-hour short stay hospital with three operating theatres. Our specialties Include Minor Orthopaedics, General, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Dental, Dermatology/Mohs and Endoscopy.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
• Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
• Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to and from the operating theatre
• Assist patients with general requests, mobility and post-op refreshments
• Ensure beds are correct and made according to the session allocations
• Assist with admissions and discharges
• Ensure adequate stock control levels are maintained
• Assist the team in cleaning the Perioperative environment including linen and waste removal
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
• Experience in a similar role within a hospital setting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of patient safety and infection control principles
• Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
• Organisational and time management skills
