Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter Assist Summer Temp to support patient flow by moving patients, equipment, specimens and belongings, while upholding safety and privacy and performing light environmental service duties as needed. You’ll transport patients on stretchers or wheelchairs, respond with urgency to transport requests, and follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols, including two patient identifiers. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment, and excellent English communication and customer service. Required: high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, and healthcare experience preferred.
