We are looking for Pavements and Aviation Engineering Intern to join our Melbourne team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience on real-world transport and aviation projects while learning from experienced engineers and planners in a collaborative environment.

How you'll make a difference:

• Build your technical skills and industry knowledge while working alongside experienced engineers and transport planners.
• Assist with gathering and organising engineering data using established procedures and systems.
• Support the delivery of transport and traffic engineering projects by contributing to technical calculations, analysis and project documentation.
• Learn how engineering standards and guidelines are applied in the planning and design of transport infrastructure.
• Contribute to developing innovative solutions that address real-world transport and mobility challenges.
• Gain exposure to safe systems principles and how they are used to create safer outcomes for all road users.
• Assist with projects that plan and improve the movement of people across different transport modes, including aviation, roads, public transport, walking and cycling.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits and multidisciplinary collaboration to build practical engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
• Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with a strong interest in working in pavements for aviation and highways. 
• Commencement: Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027.
• Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
