About the Role
We're looking for a Payments Operations Specialist to own the operational lifecycle of a payments account - from KYC and onboarding, through payouts and negative balances, to churn monitoring and funds transfers. You'll live in dashboards, spreadsheets, and our payments platform tooling - monitoring daily operations, reviewing cases, fixing errors, partnering with cross-functional teams, and building the processes that keep our payments operation running cleanly as we grow.
What You’ll Do
- Own KYC and onboarding operations - review verification cases, chase down missing information, and resolve errors that hold up merchant onboarding
- Monitor and manage payout operations - investigate failed or delayed payouts and work negative balance cases through to resolution
- Own churn monitoring - track departing venues and ensure accounts are offboarded cleanly, including final payouts
- Perform daily monitoring across our payments operations, spotting anomalies early and fixing errors before they become problems
- Build, document, and continuously improve operational processes as our financial services products (like ROLLER Capital) scale
- Work hands-on in spreadsheets and our payments platform's admin tooling every day
About You
- You have 2-3 years of experience in payments operations, banking operations, fintech, or KYC/CDD
- A payments background is preferred but not essential - you're a fast learner who can pick up new domains, systems, and terminology quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail - you're the person who spots the thing everyone else missed
- You work autonomously and take real ownership of your patch - you don't need someone setting your priorities every day
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with internal stakeholders
- Very comfortable working in spreadsheets, dashboards, and admin tools
- Process-minded - you enjoy building repeatable workflows and get satisfaction from things running cleanly
- You're excited by a hands-on individual contributor role and want to build deep payments expertise
