Downer is seeking a permanent part‑time People and Culture Delivery Partner in Auckland for three days a week to support the Social Infrastructure team with people initiatives, annual P&C cycles and project delivery reporting to the HR Manager. You’ll lead end‑to‑end P&C projects, coordinate performance, remuneration, talent and succession cycles, and coach managers on employee relations and conduct; partner with leaders, HRBPs and functions to implement programs and drive change. The ideal candidate has HR generalist experience in a complex operating environment, proven delivery of HR projects and cycles, solid knowledge of employment law and enterprise agreements, plus strong communication and analytical skills. Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Lead and manage People and Culture projects from initiation through to completion.
Coordinate annual people activities including performance, remuneration, talent and succession cycles.
Provide coaching, advice and support to managers on employee relations, industrial relations, performance and conduct matters.
Partner with leaders, HR Business Partners and functional teams to deliver people programs and business improvement initiatives
Support organisational design, capability development, engagement activities and change initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated HR generalist experience within a complex operational environment.
Experience delivering HR projects and annual people cycle activities.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and HR best practice.
Experience coaching and developing managers, with training facilitation experience highly regarded.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
This is a permanent part-time position, working three full days per week based in Auckland.
