We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to join our leadership team on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Supporting both Novotel Rotorua Lakeside and ibis Rotorua, this role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact across two well-established hospitality brands within the global Accor network.

Working closely with the General Manager and Department Heads, you will lead all aspects of the People & Culture function, ensuring our people feel supported, engaged, and empowered to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Providing employment relations and HR advice to managers
  • Managing performance, development, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Supporting learning and development across the hotels
  • Ensuring compliance with New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Manage HR administration, reporting, and workforce planning
  • Driving a positive workplace culture aligned with Accor values

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture management role
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR practices
  • Experience managing employee relations, recruitment, and performance management processes
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
  • Hotel experience is highly desirable
