AFCA seeks a credible People Project Lead to design and scale the Scams Dispute Resolution program, then transition into a strategic partner driving performance and culture. The role blends design and delivery across workforce models, organizational design, change management, and workplace relations, with close collaboration to program leadership, PMO and centres. You’ll need a track record shaping people strategies in fast moving, complex environments, strong stakeholder influence, and hands-on delivery; experience in financial services or regulatory transformation and Fair Work Act knowledge is valued. Apply with outcome-driven examples and metrics; AFCA offers hybrid work, an inclusive culture, and a commitment to fairness; applications from diverse backgrounds are welcome.
Fairness feels good
Make a real impact at AFCA. Where fairness drives every decision. Help us deliver world-class, independent complaints resolution for Australians. As a not-for-profit and progressive financial ombudsman, we’re championing positive change. Achieving our purpose takes progressive thinking, accountability and resilience. At AFCA, our inclusive leadership values every voice. We offer our people flexible work options, thoughtful benefits and opportunities to deepen expertise. Flourish in a diverse, caring culture. Feel the difference of belonging to an organisation intentionally designed to put people first.
This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of AFCA’s most significant and visible programs, the Scams Prevention Framework (SPF), where you’ll shape how we build, scale and sustain a critical new function.
The opportunity
This is not a traditional People Partner role.
You’ll start by building from the ground up, designing and delivering the people foundations required to establish the Scams External Dispute Resolution (EDR) Program. Then, as the program matures, you’ll transition into a true strategic partner, embedding the model and driving ongoing performance and cultural uplift.
It’s a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating structure where none exists, and can seamlessly move between strategy and hands-on delivery.
