Your day will include spraying and herbicide application, manual weed removal, and operating spray equipment while supporting other crews and following health and safety procedures. Pest plant experience is welcome but not essential; a hard-working outdoors mindset and a team-oriented attitude are key. Requirements include a clean, current driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle, a GrowSafe Certificate, and good fitness. In a nutshell, your role will see you take on vegetation and pest plant management activities within the regions many parks and reserves. Day-to-day your role will see you carry out chemical spraying and application of herbicides, manual removal of weeds, operating spray equipment/machinery and helping other teams as required.
Ideally, we would love someone who has pest plant management experience; however, this is not a must. As long as you are a hard worker, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors include:
