The Petty Cash Holder is responsible for managing the day-to-day petty cash operations of NAFFCO Abu Dhabi by ensuring accurate cash handling, timely processing of petty cash transactions, and maintaining complete financial records in accordance with company policies and internal control procedures. The role supports the Finance Department by ensuring proper documentation, compliance with financial regulations, and efficient service to internal stakeholders.
Manage and safeguard the petty cash float in accordance with NAFFCO financial policies.
Process petty cash payments and employee reimbursements after obtaining the necessary approvals.
Ensure adequate petty cash balances are maintained by preparing replenishment requests on time.
Perform regular cash counts and reconcile physical cash with accounting records.
Report any cash shortages, discrepancies, or irregularities immediately to the Finance Manager.
Maintain accurate petty cash vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation.
Record all petty cash transactions promptly within the company's ERP/accounting system.
Ensure proper allocation of expenses to the correct cost centres and accounts.
Maintain organized filing systems for all petty cash records for audit and compliance purposes.
Assist during month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Ensure full compliance with NAFFCO financial procedures and internal control policies.
Verify that all reimbursement requests are properly authorized before payment.
Support internal and external audits by providing complete petty cash documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information at all times.
Assist employees with petty cash reimbursement procedures.
Coordinate with department representatives to resolve payment or documentation issues.
Provide timely responses to finance-related petty cash inquiries.
Recommend improvements to enhance petty cash control and operational efficiency.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Additional accounting certifications will be an advantage.
Arabic nationality is preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in petty cash management, cashiering, finance support, or accounting.
Previous experience in the UAE, preferably within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industry, is preferred.
Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software is an advantage.
Strong numerical and cash handling skills.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
