NMC Healthcare seeks a full-time onsite Pharmacist in Dubai to dispense inpatient medications, review prescriptions for accuracy, counsel patients, resolve abnormalities with physicians, supervise repackaging and labeling, handle drug inquiries, support training of junior staff, perform specialty pharmacy tasks, manage stock including near expiry items, and maintain the controlled medicines register, all while following DHA regulations and JCI standards. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, has at least two years hospital experience, possesses a DHA license, and shows solid knowledge of UAE law with strong English and preferably Arabic. 1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Dispense medications to inpatient as per prescription.

   1. Reviews and interprets each prescription/ medication order before dispensing to ascertain correctness of strength, dose instructions and dosage form.

   2. Patient counseling- Provides appropriate patient information concerning the dispensed medications.

   3. Clarify any prescription abnormality with the prescribing physician. Any unresolved problems are referred to chief pharmacist.

   4. Supervise the repackaging, labeling and documentation of medications issued to other departments.

   5. Answers drug related inquiries received from doctors, nurses and customers. Those inquiries which cannot be answered with certainty are to be referred to the chief pharmacist.

   6. Assists in the training of new pharmacist and pharmacist staff as per the direction of the chief pharmacist.

   7. Performs specialty pharmacy activities, as delegated and trained.

   8. Responsible for medicine’s stock, near expiry medicines monitoring & updating controlled medicine register on daily wise.

   9. Performs other miscellaneous duties, as directed by the chief pharmacist.

    

    

    

    

To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.

4. QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS

    

   1. Education and training. Pharmacists must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.

       

   2. At least two (2) years experience in a hospital as a pharmacist.

1. Thorough knowledge of UAE Laws, company policies, regulations precedents applicable to the area of work.

2. DHA license. 

3. Good command of English. Arabic is desirable but not essential.
