Plant Operator (Night Shift) - Dolomite Plant

Position Summary

This is a night shift position (10 PM to 10 AM), with occasional weekend work based on demand. The role is responsible for operating and monitoring the Dolomite plant during overnight production, ensuring consistent material flow and safe operation. The Operator will load trucks, feed the plant using on-site equipment, and complete routine maintenance and clean-up to support efficient plant performance. This role is primarily independent and requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and attention to equipment and process conditions.

This is a seasonal position running from approximately July to October, with the opportunity to return in future seasons based on performance and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate the plant to ensure consistent production output
• Load trucks and manage material flow in and out of the plant
• Operate loader and/or on-site haul truck to feed plant
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and general plant clean-up
• Complete required logs and safety checks
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment

Requirements

• DZ or AZ license, or experience operating loaders, dump trucks, or similar equipment
• Previous heavy equipment experience considered an asset; training will be provided
• Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn plant maintenance
• Ability to work overnight shifts (10 PM to 10 AM) and occasional weekends
• Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a plant environment

Compensation

$25.39 - $29.75 per hour
