COLAS Miller Group is seeking a Night Shift Plant Operator for the Dolomite plant in Owen Sound, a seasonal overnight role July through October, 10 PM to 10 AM with occasional weekends. You’ll monitor and operate the plant, load trucks, feed the plant with loader or on site haul equipment, and perform routine maintenance and cleaning while keeping safety logs. Ideal candidates hold a DZ or AZ license or have hands on experience with loaders or dump trucks; heavy equipment experience is a plus, along with basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn plant maintenance. Must be able to work independently, lift up to 50 lbs, and commit to safety. Compensation $25.39-$29.75 per hour. This is a night shift position (10 PM to 10 AM), with occasional weekend work based on demand. The role is responsible for operating and monitoring the Dolomite plant during overnight production, ensuring consistent material flow and safe operation. The Operator will load trucks, feed the plant using on-site equipment, and complete routine maintenance and clean-up to support efficient plant performance. This role is primarily independent and requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and attention to equipment and process conditions.
This is a seasonal position running from approximately July to October, with the opportunity to return in future seasons based on performance and operational needs.
$25.39 - $29.75 per hour
