We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Plasma Cutter Operator to join a busy and growing manufacturing business based in Kidderminster. This is an excellent long-term opportunity offering competitive pay, regular overtime and immediate starts.

Pay & Overtime

  • £20.00–£22.00 per hour (DOE)
  • 40-hour standard working week
  • Overtime paid at 1.3x, 1.5x and 2x your hourly rate.

The Role

As a CNC Plasma Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components to specification while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Your duties will include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC plasma cutting machines.
  • Loading and unloading steel plate and materials safely.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Selecting the correct cutting programmes and making minor adjustments where required.
  • Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
  • Working closely with the fabrication team to meet production schedules.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Experience working within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Reliable, motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
