Mercury Hampton Ltd is hiring an experienced CNC Plasma Cutter Operator for a full-time onsite role in Kidderminster with pay £20.00–£22.00 per hour DOE, a 40-hour week and regular overtime. You will set up and run CNC plasma cutting machines, read engineering drawings, load materials safely, select cutting programmes and make minor adjustments, inspect finished parts and help keep production on schedule while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Essential: proven CNC plasma cutting experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing, strong attention to detail, solid health and safety practices, reliability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pay & Overtime

• £20.00–£22.00 per hour (DOE)
• 40-hour standard working week
• Overtime paid at 1.3x, 1.5x and 2x your hourly rate.

The Role

As a CNC Plasma Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components to specification while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Your duties will include:

• Setting up and operating CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Loading and unloading steel plate and materials safely.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Selecting the correct cutting programmes and making minor adjustments where required.
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
• Working closely with the fabrication team to meet production schedules.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience working within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
