Enpal is hiring a Platform Engineer (f/m/x) in Berlin to help run and scale a cloud-native platform and contribute to a growing renewable energy community. The role blends platform automation, cloud operations, and cross-functional collaboration to keep systems reliable, secure, and developer-friendly. You should have 1–3+ years in cloud/DevOps, basic Kubernetes or Azure experience, and familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, Helm, GitOps, or observability tools, plus scripting in Python TypeScript or similar. They value curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn. To apply, tailor your resume to show automation wins, cross-functional impact, and clear English communication; German is a plus. Highlight learning from seniors and taking ownership of components.
At Enpal, we are building the largest renewable energy community in Europe — and we need a resilient, compliant, and well-governed Salesforce platform to support that scale. As a Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will focus on platform stability, data protection, access governance, and operational excellence across our Salesforce ecosystem. Your work will ensure that Salesforce remains secure, audit-ready, and built for long-term scalability.
As a Platform Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of the internal platform that powers our applications and services. You will work closely with senior platform engineers and development teams to automate operational tasks, improve developer experience, and ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and scalable.
This role is ideal for engineers with some hands-on experience who want to deepen their platform, cloud, and automation skills while contributing to a growing engineering organization.
At Enpal, you would be:
• Automating daily platform operations. You will help streamline recurring tasks, improve deployment workflows, and reduce manual work through scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Supporting scalable infrastructure. Work with the team to maintain and improve our cloud-native environment while learning how large-scale systems are designed and operated.
• Learning by building. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on topics such as Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure as code.
• Improving the developer experience. We treat our platform as a product for internal teams. You will help enhance usability, reliability, and documentation so engineers can ship faster and safer.
• Contributing to continuous improvement. Suggest small but meaningful changes that increase stability, performance, and automation across our tooling and environments.
• Collaborating across teams. Work with developers, operations, and security to understand real needs and translate them into practical platform solutions.
We are looking for a motivated engineer with a solid technical foundation and a strong willingness to learn. You don’t need to meet every requirement — growth and curiosity are just as important.
• 1–3+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps, or software engineering roles (including internships or relevant projects).
• Basic experience with cloud environments and containerized applications (e.g., Azure, Kubernetes, or similar).
• Familiarity with at least some of the following: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD tools, Helm, GitOps concepts (e.g., ArgoCD), or observability tooling.
• Scripting or programming experience in languages such as Python, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
• Interest in platform engineering, automation, and improving how software is built and operated.
• Willingness to learn from senior engineers and gradually take ownership of components and tooling.
• Clear communication skills in English, spoken and written. Knowledge of German is a plus.
Nice to Have (but not required)
• Exposure to developer platforms or tools such as Backstage.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Understanding of monitoring, alerting, or incident response basics.
