Wood is recruiting a PMC Senior Planning Engineer to support ADNOC Offshore in Abu Dhabi, onsite with offshore rotation. You’ll develop and maintain Primavera P6 schedules, establish WBS and baselines for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, and ensure plans reflect contract scope and offshore constraints. You will monitor progress, perform critical path and risk analyses, and assess EPC contractor schedules, delivering weekly and monthly progress reports with forecasts while coordinating with ADNOC Offshore, EPCs, and cost and risk teams. Requirements: engineering degree, 15+ years in oil and gas planning, 5+ years in a PMC role, strong P6 and offshore experience, ADNOC methodology knowledge. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office with a possibility to move to offshore rotation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role
The Senior Planning Engineer (PMC) is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling integrated project schedules for ADNOC Offshore projects, ensuring alignment with ADNOC standards, project milestones, and contractual requirements. The role supports project delivery through effective planning, progress measurement, and reporting across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain Level 3 / Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6 in line with ADNOC Offshore requirements
- Establish WBS, CBS, and project baselines for engineering, procurement, construction, hook-up, and commissioning
- Ensure schedules reflect contract scope, execution strategy, and offshore constraints
Project Control & Monitoring
- Monitor project progress against approved baselines and identify schedule risks and slippages
- Perform critical path analysis, what-if scenarios, and recovery planning
- Evaluate EPC contractor schedules and provide recommendations to ADNOC Offshore
Reporting
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules
- Provide accurate forecasts for project completion and key milestones
- Support management with schedule performance indicators and variance analysis
Interface & Coordination
- Interface with ADNOC Offshore, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and discipline leads
- Coordinate with cost control, risk, procurement, and construction teams
- Participate in progress meetings, planning workshops, and risk reviews
Change & Risk Management
- Assess schedule impact of variations, claims, and change orders
- Support delay analysis and extension of time (EOT) evaluations
- Identify planning-related risks and propose mitigation measures
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore Project Management Procedures, HSE standards, and quality requirements
- Maintain proper planning documentation and audit trails

Expected
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or equivalent)
- Minimum 15 years of planning experience in oil & gas projects
- At least 5+ years in a PMC role supporting ADNOC Offshore or similar operators
- Strong experience in offshore brownfield and greenfield projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
- Solid understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning workflows
- Experience with progress measurement systems and schedule risk analysis
- Knowledge of ADNOC offshore execution methodologies is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, fast-paced project environment
