Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Pool Clinical Pharmacist to coordinate and deliver high quality pharmaceutical care for patients at the Spring Hill site. The role covers pharmacotherapy consult participation, staff development, and targeted drug programs, with duties including final medication checks, stock management, and sterile and nonsterile compounding in line with regulatory and accreditation standards. Qualifications include a BS Pharmacy, at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience, and an active Florida license. Schedule is per diem pool, on site, day shifts. To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. Assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. The Pharmacist is responsible for the final check of all ordered medications including patient specific medications, storage cabinet stock/restock, and nonsterile and sterile compounded medications. Able to perform all of the duties of a registered Pharmacist. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Education: BS Pharmacy degree required.
Experience: One year hospital pharmacy experience required.
Licenses/Certifications: FL Pharmacy license required.
