This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced dental receptionist or administrator who is ready to take the next step in their career and take on additional responsibility within the day-to-day running of a busy dental practice.
While reception and patient-facing duties will be a key focus of the role, you'll also play an important part in coordinating the wider practice, helping to keep the day running smoothly and providing support to both the clinical and support teams. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, is confident dealing with day-to-day challenges and takes pride in creating a positive experience for both patients and colleagues.
Your Role
You'll be at the heart of the practice, combining reception and administrative responsibilities with the coordination of day-to-day practice operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing a warm and professional welcome to patients and delivering an excellent patient experience
Managing telephone and patient enquiries, appointments, payments and general reception duties
Maximising the appointment book and supporting the effective use of clinicians' time
Helping to coordinate the day-to-day running of the practice and ensuring the team has what they need for a smooth working day
Acting as a key point of contact within the practice and helping to resolve day-to-day queries and issues
Taking a proactive approach to patient feedback and identifying opportunities to improve the patient experience
Supporting effective stock management and ensuring supplies are replenished when required
Helping to maintain high standards of practice presentation, cleanliness and organisation
Supporting compliance with practice procedures, including Health & Safety, cross-infection and decontamination requirements
Communicating effectively with clinicians and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive team culture
Supporting the wider management team with practice administration and operational tasks as required
About You
We'd love to hear from someone who:
Has previous experience within a dental practice environment, ideally within reception or administration
Is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
Has excellent communication and patient service skills
Is confident managing competing priorities within a busy environment
Can use their own initiative while also working collaboratively as part of a team
Enjoys problem-solving and helping things run smoothly
Is enthusiastic about developing their skills and taking on additional responsibility
Has experience using Microsoft Office packages; experience with dental practice systems would also be advantageous
