About the Role
We are looking for a Full-Time Practice Nurse Manager to join our team at ForHealth Deception Bay Medical Centre. In this role, you will provide leadership and operational management to a team of Nurses, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Working closely with the Practice Manager and Medical Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Treatment Room, mentor and develop your team, and drive clinical excellence across the practice.
Working closely with the Practice Manager, Business Manager and Medical Director, you will provide clinical leadership while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the treatment room. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about leading teams, improving patient outcomes and driving clinical excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead, coach and mentor a team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Treatment Room staff.
• Manage treatment room operations, ensuring quality patient care and clinical best practice.
• Support performance management, staff development and ongoing education.
• Develop and manage nursing rosters to ensure appropriate staffing and skill mix.
• Oversee treatment room equipment, stock, maintenance and infection control standards.
• Drive Chronic Disease Management programs and support nurse-led clinics.
• Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and Medical Director to improve operational performance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, Medicare requirements and clinical policies.
• Foster a positive, collaborative and patient-focused team culture.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous leadership or nurse management experience within General Practice or Primary Care.
• Strong knowledge of treatment room procedures, Chronic Disease Management and clinical governance.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.
• Experience managing rosters, performance and workflow within a busy clinical environment.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• Unrestricted Australian work rights and the ability to provide evidence of immunisation history and relevant clearances.
