Position Specific Description
Work with internal NextEra teams to manage the interconnection related engineering items. This position will be expected to understand interconnection process from application through Commercial Operation and become a Subject Matter Expert for their assigned ISO(s).
Work with NextEra corporate office, engineering, construction and commissioning teams to coordinate submittals and interconnection deliverables with the Transmission Owners (TO) and Operators (ISO) and Power Purchasing Agreement Clients. This position will be responsible for reviewing the Purchase Power Agreements and Interconnection Agreements and provide critical engineering feedback to teams negotiating these agreements. The responsibilities will include tracking deliverables and milestones per the requirements of the project agreements and interfacing with the TO, ISO and PPA clients to ensure all items associated with design, performance, telemetry, back-feed, initial synchronization, and Commercial Operation Date are accomplished.
This job is responsible for applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. Employees in this role evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects. This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.
