Launch Potato is hiring a Principal ML Engineer for Recommendation Systems to own the personalization vision, shape architecture, and lead scalable ML across a remote-first, globally distributed team. The role demands 10+ years building large-scale personalization, with proven impact through patents, publications, or product results, and a track record of 0→1 innovation that supports billions of predictions in production. You’ll mentor engineers, set reusable infra patterns, and drive cross-functional initiatives while representing the company externally through talks or open source. To apply, highlight multi-domain expertise (deep learning, causal inference, bandits, graph models), architecture leadership, and measurable business outcomes; provide links to relevant OSS, papers, or patents and demonstrate experience with cold starts, real-time learning, and exploration/exploitation.
