Position Summary
The Process Commissioning Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all process commissioning activities during the pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and handover phases of ADNOC Offshore projects. The role ensures that EPC Contractor commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with ADNOC specifications, project procedures, and international standards while supporting the successful delivery of offshore facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise process commissioning activities for offshore oil and gas facilities from Mechanical Completion through Ready for Start-Up (RFSU), Start-Up, Performance Testing, and Final Handover.
- Review and monitor EPC Contractor commissioning execution plans, procedures, schedules, and resource plans.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, HSE requirements, and international codes.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with Operations, Construction, Engineering, HSE, Vendors, and other PMC disciplines.
- Review and witness system completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Monitor Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Ready for Start-Up (RFSU), and Provisional Acceptance milestones.
- Review system handover dossiers, commissioning dossiers, and turnover documentation.
- Coordinate systemization, subsystem completion, and punch list clearance.
- Participate in commissioning risk assessments, SIMOPS, HAZOP, HAZID, Constructability, ORA, and operational readiness reviews.
- Review commissioning schedules and monitor progress against project milestones.
- Coordinate vendor specialists during equipment commissioning and start-up.
- Verify commissioning test results, performance guarantees, and functional testing of process systems.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of commissioning issues and technical queries.
- Ensure commissioning documentation, red-line markups, As-Built drawings, and final records are complete.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Integrated System Testing (IST), and performance testing where applicable.
- Support offshore hook-up, commissioning, and start-up activities for Greenfield and Brownfield modifications.
- Coordinate interface management between EPC Contractors, Operations, and ADNOC Offshore personnel.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE policies, Permit to Work (PTW), Isolation Management, and LOTO requirements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- ADNOC project experience is required.
- Offshore project experience is required.
- PMC experiences are preferrable.
- Experience in FEED & EPC Phases is required.
