Coles Group is seeking a 12 month fixed term Procurement Specialist to unlock value across GNFR and services spend, owning end-to-end sourcing from opportunity assessment to contracting and implementation. About the role
Join unlocking a high performing procurement team focused on incremental value across Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) and services spend, driving commercial outcomes through strategic sourcing and innovative cost optimisation initiatives. In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

- Identify and execute four box opportunities using commercial and demand levers to pay less, use less, modify or eliminate spend across diverse categories
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with operational and financial objectives
- Lead end to end sourcing activities including opportunity assessment, market engagement, negotiations, contracting and implementation
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of value initiatives delivering measurable savings and cost mitigation outcomes
- Deliver category spend visibility and actionable insights through data analysis and reporting
- Shape commercial agreements and contracting models that balance value creation, risk management and operational efficiency
- Support successful supplier onboarding and contract implementation, ensuring smooth transition and stakeholder adoption
- Apply should cost analysis and cost management tools to identify opportunities and improve commercial performance
- Maintain sourcing projects and benefits tracking within SAP Ariba and Wave systems to ensure transparency and governance
About you and your skills
You are a commercial procurement professional who enjoys influencing outcomes through collaboration and data driven decision making. You bring experience delivering measurable value across indirect spend categories and identifying smarter ways of working. You will also bring:
- Qualifications in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or category management within indirect or GNFR spend environments
- Demonstrated success delivering savings and value creation through commercial and demand management levers
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability across multiple business functions
- Experience using platforms such as SAP Ariba to manage sourcing activities and reporting
- Strong analytical, problem solving and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously
- High level communication and presentation skills with confidence influencing a broad stakeholder group
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to create polished commercial content
