About the role? We're seeking a Product Compliance Manager to ensure our horticulture and building automation products - both hardware and digital - meet regulatory requirements and industry standards across key markets. You'll oversee and coordinate internal and external product compliance and certification initiatives, working closely with internal product development teams as well as with our partners. Key
Responsibilities:
Lead and ensure product compliance and certification for our hardware products including CE marking, UL/CSA listings, environmental regulations and sector-specific requirements for horticulture and building automation
Work with security experts and the legal team to ensure our (digital) products meet cybersecurity and privacy requirements including IEC62443, GDPR, CRA and other IoT security regulations
Oversee and coordinate compliance and certification initiatives both internally and with third-party EMS providers
Monitor regulatory landscapes in key markets and identify compliance requirements
Partner with R&D and product management to integrate compliance requirements into product development
Maintain compliance documentation, technical files, test reports, and declarations of conformity
Support sales teams with compliance-related customer inquiries and tender requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
5+ years of experience in product compliance, certification, or regulatory affairs in electronics/automation industry
Proven track record managing certification projects for both hardware and digital products
Knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks (CE marking, LVD, RED, EMC Directive, etc.)
Experience with international standards (IEC, EN, UL, CSA) for electronic products
Understanding of software and IoT compliance requirements
Strong project management and communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of control systems and automation products
Familiarity with IoT security standards and cybersecurity requirements
Dutch language skills
