Dometic is hiring a Product Designer (Electrical) in Vancouver to help drive the marine division toward an electrified future. In this role you will collaborate with embedded firmware and mechanical designers, owning circuit design from schematic capture to PCB layout, plus BOM maintenance. You will run validation tests including EMC and support product launches with cross-functional teams across Design, Test, Manufacturing, and Automation. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechatronics, 1+ year in consumer or automotive electronics, strong Altium skills, knowledge of motor drives, sensors, CAN/SPI/I2C, and Python, and familiarity with battery management and ISO/SAE standards. We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Product Designer – Electrical. This position reports to Electrical Design Manager and will work in Vancouver, BC.
Vancouver:
Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.
As Product Designer – Electrical of the Vancouver team, you will be responsible for new product development as well as maintenance and continuous improvement of existing products within the Design Engineering team. In conjunction with new product development, a Product Designer - Electrical is expected to conduct validation and qualification testing to ensure products meet the rigorous functional and safety standards associated with Dometic Marine products. Team members will be working alongside electronic, embedded firmware, and mechanical product designers to solve a variety of technical challenges to develop novel technologies that pave roads towards successful product launches.
