Planned is seeking a Product Designer for a full-time onsite role in Montréal to power its AI Event Intelligence Platform used by enterprises to source, manage, and pay for meetings and events. You’ll own end-to-end design on real features, collaborate with engineers to implement a shared design system, and build user understanding through research and tight loops with Product and Customer Success. Bring sharp visual and interaction instincts, routinely use AI tools in research and prototyping, stay curious and self-directed, think beyond the screen, and be comfortable with ambiguity, knowing when to ship hi-fi or rough sketches. Standouts prototype in code (Framer, React, Tailwind, Next.js) and have a portfolio showing taste and range. To apply, tailor your portfolio to show shipped impact, demonstrate collaboration with engineers and product teams, and reflect your end-to-end process; relocation support is available.

Planned is the AI Event Intelligence Platform. Enterprises use Planned to source, manage, and pay for their meetings and events, with AI doing the work that used to take entire teams and agencies.

We're on a mission to disrupt a $500+ billion industry. To achieve that, we want to work with brilliant minds and natural leaders who are driven to out-think, out-plan, and outperform the competition. We tackle every business decision with enthusiasm, and we love the work that we do!

Your Role
  • Own design work end-to-end on real product features: research, ideation, prototyping, and iteration - with support from the team.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to bring your designs to life, and contribute to a shared design system that scales across the product.
  • Build genuine understanding of our users through research, testing, and tight loops with Product and Customer Success.
  • Communicate your thinking clearly - through docs, walkthroughs, or working sessions - so the whole team can give good feedback and stay aligned.

About You
  • Sharp visual and interaction instincts - you have a point of view on what "great" looks like and can articulate why.
  • You use AI tools as a natural part of how you work - for research, ideation, prototyping, writing, or building.
  • Curious and self-directed - you figure things out, ask good questions, and don't wait to be told what to do next.
  • Think beyond the screen - you consider the full user journey, not just individual flows.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration - you know when to go hi-fi and when a rough sketch is the right tool.
  • You work well with engineers and don't see handoff as a wall - you'd rather just build it together.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • You can prototype in code: Framer, React, TailwindCSS, or just enough Next.js to make something feel real.
  • You're at the intersection of design and engineering - you've shipped something, even if it was a side project.
  • You have a portfolio that shows taste, judgment, and range
