Esri is seeking a Python Product Engineer I for its Raster and Imagery team at the Sharjah R&D Center, a full time onsite role focused on designing, testing, and releasing Python API capabilities for ArcGIS and arcpy. You will collaborate across software development to build Pythonic functionality, create scripts to exercise the API in notebooks, automate workflows across diverse environments and datasets, contribute to design discussions, and develop test plans while helping author API docs and blog examples. You will test image analysis across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes deployments. Requirements: 1+ year Python experience, background in remote sensing or image analysis, strong problem solving and communication, bachelor’s degree in a related field, UAE work authorization. Overview
The raster and imagery software development team in Sharjah R&D Center is actively seeking applications for a dynamic, challenging, and exciting Product Engineering position with Python experience. In this role, you will work with colleagues across Software Development in the design, testing, documenting, and release of new capabilities in Python API for ArcGIS, as well as arcpy API.
As a Python Product Engineer, you will collaborate with other product engineers and development engineers to help us design, build, test and deliver compelling Pythonic functionality across our products. If you are passionate and proficient in working with Python and have a deep understanding of Python design principles and can communicate effectively via writing and presentations, this is the place to be!
