Key Accountabilities

  • Digital Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear and compelling digital product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the. This includes defining the target audience, value proposition, and competitive positioning.
  • Product Roadmap and Lifecycle Management: Create and manage a data-driven product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation and development to launch, growth, and eventual retirement.
  • Customer Experience and Journey Mapping: Champion a customer-first mindset, utilizing user research, A/B testing, and data analytics to deeply understand customer behaviors and pain points. Design and optimize seamless and intuitive digital customer journeys across all touchpoints (app, web, etc.).
  • Agile Product Development and Delivery: Lead agile development teams (including designers, engineers, and QAs) to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of digital products and features. Author detailed user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage the product backlog.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Launch: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and communication teams to develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for new digital products and features, ensuring a successful launch and rapid customer adoption.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Define and analyze key product metrics (e.g., user engagement, conversion rates, churn) to measure performance and identify areas for improvement. Drive a culture of continuous data-informed optimization.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Effectively communicate the product strategy, roadmap, and performance to senior leadership and other key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and secure necessary resources.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the telecom and digital product space. Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring the digital product offering remains competitive.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus.

Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in digital product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products, preferably in the telecommunications  tech, or a related B2C industry.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience in a startup or new business launch environment is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Product Management: Proficient in product roadmap creation, backlog management, user story writing, and A/B testing.
  • Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to make informed product decisions. Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, MicroStrategy, Tableau etc.)
  • UX/UI Principles: A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to work effectively with design teams.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with mobile and web technologies. While not a coding role, the ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers is crucial.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
  • Agile Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
