Your mission as Product Manager is to bring structure, alignment, and momentum to maxon's robotics business. You transform market feedback, product strategy, and operational priorities into concrete actions that drive successful robotics products from concept to lifecycle management.

This position is primarily based in Zurich and involves close collaboration with teams in Sachseln and across our international robotics organization. For exceptional candidates, Sachseln (Switzerland), Barcelona (Spain) or Sexau (Germany) can also be considered as the primary work location.

Product Manager Robotics 80 - 100%

Your area of responsibility
As part of our Robotics team, you will be the operational backbone that keeps our growing robotics product portfolio on track. The role sits at the intersection of product management, engineering coordination, and commercial readiness – translating roadmap intent, market input and internal operational needs into structured decisions, clear ownership and measurable outcomes. You will work across robotic drive systems and emerging systems-level initiatives.
  • Maintaining and regularly updating product roadmaps and decision inputs for robotics products; keeping all product-related information and activities clear, current and accessible for product management, business development, sales and engineering teams.
  • Structuring and driving systems-related initiatives into execution by coordinating across development teams, clarifying ownership and converting discussions into concrete next steps and responsibilities.
  • Collecting, structuring and summarising market data, customer feedback, competitive intelligence and application trends to inform product and business decisions; delivering periodic market studies.
  • Supporting lifecycle-related initiatives across the full product lifecycle – including onboarding procedures, repair concepts, or serviceability topics.
  • Participating in selected customer interactions, trade fairs and industry events to gather direct market feedback, represent maxon's robotics portfolio and support product-related technical discussions alongside business development and sales.

This job is exactly right for you if...
  • have an excellent grasp of modern robotics actuation technologies – motors, gears, electronics, embedded control systems, functional safety and quality – combined with hands-on experience developing or manufacturing complex mechatronic hardware systems.
  • understand the difference between component, product and system value propositions and can translate real customer problems into product-management implications without taking over technical solution design.
  • are an excellent project and stakeholder manager with a proven track record of facilitating outcomes between diverse, globally distributed teams – from customers and sales to operations, quality and engineering – and you think in outcomes and KPIs.
  • have a can-do, pragmatic attitude and an inherent ability to get things done; you are a strong communicator and a natural facilitator who keeps complex cross-functional topics moving forward.
  • have very good English language skills; German is an advantage.
We also offer you...
  • A challenging, cross-functional role in one of the most dynamic growth segments in modern actuation technology, working with world-leading robotics companies on a global scale.
  • A familial working environment with transparent information flows and interdisciplinary exchange
  • Flexible annual working hours that allow you to reconcile your professional goals with your expectations for your personal life
  • Workplace health management that aims to maintain and promote your health
  • An Academy with a wide-ranging training offering and exciting development opportunities
  • Advanced social security benefits
  • A dedicated public transport connection as well as discounts
  • A staff restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains
  • A place of work surrounded by mountain sports opportunities (skiing, climbing, biking)
