Hydro Extrusions in Mississauga is hiring a Production Helper (Student Temp) to join their onsite team. Starting pay is $21.39 per hour, with day shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, evening 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and overnight 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and training is provided to operate extrusion or packaging machines. You will pack aluminum profiles, verify order details, ensure quality, and uphold health, safety and environmental standards. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in a similar role, and strong English communication. Starting Rate of pay: $21.39/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:

New employees will be assigned shifts based on the production shifts outlined below:

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

What you will be doing

  • Pack aluminum profile and prepare them for shipment
  • Operate industrial extrusion or packaging machines (training provided)
  • Check order details to ensure the correct number of pieces with the required dimensions are delivered
  • Always comply with health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Inspect materials to ensure quality control
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or function
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work on any of the 3 production shifts outlined above
  • Comfortable using hand tools and measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper, square, saw, etc.)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a hot environment (30–35°C in summer)
