Job Summary

 

We are seeking a full-time Production Lead. The Production Lead is responsible to supervise and train production personnel in the daily operations during their shift in a manner consistent with overall Company policies and procedures. As well as, ensuring the final product is manufactured safely, is of high quality, and delivered on time to the customer.

 

Job Responsibilities
 

  • Ensure the team’s safety by supervising daily tasks with safety as top priority
  • Work with other team leads & supervisors on safety audits and VOP writing/updating
  • Lead effective pre-shift meetings starting with safety and ensuring team is fit for duty, communicating schedule and priorities, and setting daily direction
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities
  • Contribute to building a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Examine and inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and quality specifications are met
  • Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs, supervising, training and scheduling employees
  • Ensure area is left in a clean and safe condition daily
  • Track and measure team performance to ensure efficient use of labor and materials, report information in daily meetings
  • Work with the team to ensure successful completion of schedule
  • Substitute for workers during worker absence or to relieve work-congested areas
  • Assist workers in resolving problems and evaluating performance of direct reports for decisions concerning continued employment and promotion
  • Represent area in daily tier 2 meetings
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as needed
  • Other duties may be required as needed
     

Job Requirements
 

  • High school / equivalent, trade school; or at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to contribute to a continually improving atmosphere with fresh ideas and insights
  • Have a basic understanding and ability to interpret drawings
  • Strong interpersonal and organizations skills
  • Strong computer skills required including all Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lb.
