Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A minimum of 15 years' progressive experience in a related field
- A minimum of 10 years' supervisory and management experience
- Seasoned leader with responsibility for managing similar activities of multiple departments, work units or teams while developing short to medium term action plans for accomplishing functional/business unit objectives.
- Proven ability to translate high-level strategy into clear, measurable, and policy-compliant operational goals.
- Ability to drive performance maximization in the short to medium term with secondary focus on influencing the strategy of a function/business unit.
- Capability in leading and directing multi-level teams (managers and professionals) to successfully achieve strategic organizational objectives.
- Ability to present and produce work for the highest level of functional/business unit leadership.
- High proficiency in leadership, problem solving, and ability to influence others.
- Ability to lead advanced technical positions that require the highest degree of innovative and conceptual thinking within a technologic discipline.
- A strong understanding of LEAN principles, with a focus on 5S methodology to maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing workspace.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Package knowledge.
- Excellent level of English (both verbal and written). Dutch language is a plus.

The Director of Production Operations is responsible for developing the vision and strategic plan for producing high-quality WWT solutions. This position will be responsible for developing a cross-trained Production team, building robust processes capable of absorbing significant volume, and world-class quality utilizing LEAN manufacturing principles, as well as increasing and enhancing production-related communications. In addition to production data analytics, driving scaling and efficiency and directing staff in support our department goals and objectives. The position reports to a Senior Director or Vice President of Operations.
Role responsibilities & duties:
- Manages teams responsible for execution of customer requested services inside of our European Integration Center.
- Strategically creates and improves organization's equipment operation best practices ensuring operators adhere to policy.
- Review the operating strategy in the context of business goals and market dynamics to identify key process improvement opportunities within the business unit/function.
- Hold managers and employees accountable for successfully implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Compare overall business performance before and after large and complex process improvements to analyze the impact.
- Synthesize information on past performance, sales forecasts and marketing projections and provide guidance to business leaders on longer-term capacity planning solutions (e.g., adding capital equipment and modifying the layout of production facilities).
- Develop new strategies and designs to effectively order, ship and manage warehouse materials in order to ensure a consistent flow for production and satisfy demand
- Shape the business process and protocols for effectively and efficiently diagnosing problems and revealing the root cause.
- Strategically resolve the most complex or unusual problems escalated to this level; guide teams across disciplines to implement effective resolutions.
- Ensure that solutions for complex issues achieve the organization's objectives and standards, providing strategic guidance if an alternative plan needs to be developed.
- Lead discussions with multiple stakeholders, reiterating and reflecting on various (and sometimes conflicting) messages to ensure broad understanding.
- Recognize a spectrum of verbal and nonverbal/behavioural cues and coaches others on how to observe and interpret those cues.
- Validate and lead others to come to agreement on a point of view or solutions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to managers in structuring projects and goals of the business unit/function.
- Coordinate complex projects and provides guidance and training to managers or project leaders, ensuring that project teams remain focused on goals and deadlines.
- Promote efficiency and time management in the business unit/function by modelling behaviours such as prompt decision making and meeting deadlines; reward the achievement of timely results.
- Drive teams to maintain a clean and organized (5S) warehouse operation.
- Responsible for developing a production succession plan to ensure business and personnel success. Develops personnel by educating, inspiring, and leading by example.
