TE Connectivity is hiring a Production Operator II in Witham, a full-time onsite role in the Kitting Production area responsible for assembling and packing low to medium voltage kits for Utilities. The role is repetitive and requires strong EH&S awareness (COSHH and risk assessments), adherence to procedures, quality monitoring, and meeting process times while keeping area documentation up to date and maintaining a clean 5S+1 environment. There is potential to move to other production areas as workload changes. Training is provided; prior kitting or connectors experience is helpful but not required. Job Overview:

This role is part of the Kitting Production area. The role will involve assembling and packing parts of low and medium voltage kits for the Utilities business and is of a repetitive nature.

Job Requirements:

  • Be aware of EH&S issues i.e. COSHH & Risk assessments.
  • Adhere to working practices & procedures.
  • Monitor & control quality.
  • Keep up to date with day-to-day operations/new/existing products & complete work on time in line with process times.
  • Have an understanding of areas documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the area and equipment while applying 5S +1.
  • Ensure that all customer targets are achieved.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Supervisor.                         

Qualifications & Training required:

  • Prior Kitting or Connectors experience not necessary but preferred.
  • Training will be provided.

  • Flexibility to work overtime at short notice, in line with the business demands.
  • Work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Additional Information:

Note: The main position is in the Kitting production area but there could be a requirement when workload changes to move into the other production areas of the business.
