Full-time
On-site
Swindon, ENG

TE Connectivity is recruiting a Production Operator II to join its onsite manufacturing team in Swindon, ENG, on a full-time basis. You’ll be on the shop floor, operating the machines and tools that drive daily production targets, with safety and quality as non-negotiables. The company works with people from diverse backgrounds to build safer, more connected solutions, and this role is a solid fit for someone who likes working with mechanical systems and following clear processes.

In this role you’ll be hands-on with the line, collaborating with others on the floor to keep production moving and quality in check. You’ll find it suits someone who values precise work, takes pride in accurate output records, and enjoys translating what they see on the line into consistent results. If you enjoy the rhythm of a well-run manufacturing operation and want to contribute to reliable output, this could be a good match.

Typically, TE Connectivity looks for a background that includes 1-2 years of related work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. If you bring that foundation, you’ll have a baseline that aligns with the responsibilities of this level on the production line.

A day on the floor

On the production floor, you’ll operate the equipment used in the manufacturing processes to reach production targets, while handling minor machine issues and keeping logs of machine activity and the final output for each batch. When equipment fails or calibration drifts occur, you’ll address the problems directly and report findings to management so downtime can be minimized and records stay accurate.

You’ll read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine how to position and secure machinery, and you’ll perform changeovers and setups in line with the production schedule. As you assemble component substances, parts, and materials, you’ll escalate issues that could affect timing, aiming to keep the line moving and to avoid unnecessary delays.

Another part of the role is evaluating how the line performs against established production quality standards and calling out any variations you observe. Your input helps the team stay aligned with quality targets and permits quick corrective actions when needed.

Your essentials to start here

Here’s what TE Connectivity expects you to bring to the table:

  • 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience or work with production equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

On the practical side at Swindon's floor

The position is full-time and onsite at TE Connectivity’s operations in Swindon, ENG, where you’ll contribute directly on the factory floor as part of the production team.

Tips to stand out on the production line

Put your 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience and your high school diploma at the top of your resume so the must-haves jump out to recruiters.

Back up your claims with concrete examples of times you fixed equipment issues, kept machine logs, and maintained output records, and mention any measurable improvements you helped drive on your shifts.

Be ready to talk through how you read blueprints and diagrams to set up and position machinery, how you address calibration errors, and how you report problems that could impact the schedule or quality.

Ask a smart question about how TE Connectivity defines success on the production line and what quality standards are actively tracked, as well as how changeovers and setups are typically executed on this site. This shows you’re thinking about both daily operation and long-term improvement on the floor.
