Webasto seeks a Production Operator in Lexington KY on the 1st shift (4 AM to 4 PM), full-time onsite. You will operate a few machines per work instructions, assemble components, monitor quality and safety, escalate issues, and perform 5S and TPM while contributing to continuous improvement in a cross-functional, international team using SAP and dashboards. Ideal candidates are reliable with attendance who can work the hours, demonstrate creativity and problem solving, and are open to cross-training across processes. Production & Operations focuses on designing, managing, and improving production processes and business operations, as well as manufacturing technologies and supply chains. The role involves working with modern systems such as SAP and dashboards, some of which are self-programmed. This is a cross-functional and international environment that offers performance-driven, diverse challenges and exciting projects.
You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
- Operation of a small number of machines and workstations within a production line according to work instructions, including applicable Quality and HSE guidelines
- Removal of products from the machines - Assembly of components - Monitoring of processes, inspection of quality/safety characteristics
- Escalation of any detected concerns and problems (Quality and Safety) in line with escalation procedures
- Performing workstation 5S activities and total production maintenance (TPM) in line with standard operating procedures
- Involvement in continuous improvement process
