Oerlikon Metco (Canada) Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to join our Fort Saskatchewan site as a full-time onsite role. You’ll translate customer and market demand into efficient production schedules, aligning demand, production and performance to hit quality, delivery and cost targets while safeguarding yields. You’ll partner with operations, sales and logistics to ensure alignment, monitor production performance, identify risks and opportunities, maintain data in SAP and LIMS, and drive continuous improvement through Lean and process optimization while troubleshooting production challenges. What you bring: a degree or diploma in Engineering or the Sciences, 2+ years in manufacturing, SAP MM/PP experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a lean mindset. • Develop and manage production plans to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets
• Translate customer and market demand into efficient production schedules
• Partner with operations, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment
• Follow products through the production process, ensuring quality and yields are maintained and improved
• Monitor production performance and proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvements
• Maintain accurate data in systems like SAP and LIMS
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimization)
• Troubleshoot production challenges and drive corrective actions

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, the Sciences, or a related field
• 2+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience with SAP (MM/PP)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt in a dynamic environment
