The role centers on Tissue Culture, including suspension and adherent cell culture, virus propagation and bioreactor operations, with potential cross-training in bacterial production, protein purification, cloning and PCR. You will prepare, aliquot and package products, perform QC assays, maintain inventories and production records, and manage lab databases and incoming materials. As a Production Scientist I, you will primarily be based within our Tissue Culture department, supporting a range of activities including suspension cell culture production, adherent cell and virus culture production, and bioreactor operations. While your main focus will be Tissue Culture, there may be opportunities and business needs that require you to support and receive cross-training in other areas, including bacterial production, protein purification, cloning, genotyping mastermix production, PCR testing, product aliquoting, and quality control testing. You will also assist with inventory management, database maintenance, and the receipt of incoming shipments. Comprehensive training will be provided to support your development and broaden your laboratory skills and expertise.
