About this opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team and help drive operational excellence at our Avondale site.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading frontline teams, ensuring production targets are achieved, and creating a safe and engaged workplace culture. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by developing people, improving performance, and contributing to the ongoing success of a well-established manufacturing operation.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead, coach and develop production team members to create a safe, engaged and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure operational, quality, service and efficiency targets are achieved.
  • Drive strong health, safety and environmental practices, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture.
  • Monitor production performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives that enhance productivity and reliability.
  • Act as the key link between frontline teams and site leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the operation.
  • Support workforce planning, labour utilisation, inventory control and resource allocation to meet business requirements.
  • Provide leadership support to the Operations Manager, maintaining operational continuity and decision-making when required.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Leadership experience within manufacturing, production, FMCG or operational environment.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop and motivate teams to achieve strong performance outcomes.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety, quality systems and manufacturing best practices.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to supporting operational requirements.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and driving positive change.

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm - 40 hours per week
  • No Overtime and Oncall requirements
