Compensation:  $62,000 – $91,000 USD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentive

The above compensation reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.  In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf’s annual short-term incentive plan. 

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation and process procedures and guidelines and reference SOP’s where applicable
  • Check timekeeping records daily to ensure accuracy and manages team’s time off requests
  • Communicate expectations with the team regularly and holds them accountable
  • Complies with established food safety standards and partners respectfully with all cross-functional teams (FSQA, Safety, Maintenance, and HR)
  • Ensures adherence to legal and Company policies and procedures and works with Management and HR to undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
  • Foster positive employee relations by treating all employees with respect, listen to their concerns and provide a timely response where needed
  • Monitor team member productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching
  • Organize workflow and ensures that team members understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Operate with a focus on safety first and ensures all employees follow the company’s safety, GMP, SOP policies
  • Produce daily shift reports and achieves a high-level of accuracy with all paperwork and sign-off reports
  • Report any equipment issues to Shift Managers and Maintenance as it occurs
  • Train new employees and set them up for success on day one and provide coaching to employees who require additional training and support

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing in leadership role
  • Associated degree highly desired
  • Knowledge of HACCP and Health and Safety regulations
  • Passion for coaching people, building teams and improving performance
  • Must be able to bend, squat, and lift up to 50lb
  • Ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours per day in both cold and warm environments
  • Detail oriented and organized, able to prioritize multiple requests
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and build teams
  • Experience with tough conversations, counseling employees, and resolving conflicts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, experience with SAP preferred
