Bombardier is hiring a Professional in Electro Mechanical Engineering specializing in EWIS Design to own the EWIS within the Digital Mock-Up, develop harness concepts for programs, and integrate EWIS with system and cabinet groups while supporting change management (RFC RFQ PCR). The ideal candidate has a degree in Avionic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 3 to 5 years in aerospace, 3 plus years of CATIA V5 harness routing (NX a plus), wiring design and ECAD familiarity, and knowledge of FAR Part 25 subpart H and SAE AS50881. Strong organization, bilingual French and English, and collaborative problem solving are essential. What are your contributions to the team?
- Be responsible for the Electrical Wiring Integrated System (EWIS) in the Digital Mock-Up (DMU).
- Develop EWIS strategy and new harnesses concepts for current and new development programs.
- Integrate EWIS with system, cabinet, and structure group internally or externally.
- Provide technical support on change management implementation (RFC,RFQ, PCR).
- Contribute by participating to other task depending on program needs and demonstrate flexibility to adapt.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a college or University degree in Avionic or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience in harness 3D design.
- You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in aerospace.
- You have over 3 years of CATIA V5 experience in harness routing, having NX harness routing experience would be an asset.
- You have wiring design, wiring installation and/or wiring troubleshooting experience and you are familiar to ECAD (Capital tools & processes).
- You are familiar with FAR Part 25 subpart H and the certification rules addressing EWIS.
- You are familiar with SAE-AS50881 covering all aspects of EWIS.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility and have good organization skills.
- You must have excellent communication skills including the ability to read/write in French and English.
- You have proficient computer skills including Microsoft office suite.
