Bombardier seeks a Cabinet Engineering focal for interior integration, onsite in Dorval, to bridge teams and suppliers. The role drives improvements, validates specifications, flags risks, supports quality and engineering meetings, and designs solutions for change requests, RFQs and PCRs, coordinating technical integration and delivering 3D concepts for PCR RFQ VROM. Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering degree and 1 to 3 years in aircraft interiors completions, cabinet experience a plus; proficient in Catia Enovia and Teamcenter NX, with solid MS Office skills. Bilingual French and English, well organized and collaborative, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision. What are your contributions to the team?

  • Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal with between Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.
  • Help supplier to understand and follow BA processes and best practices.
  • Find & propose opportunities for product & process improvement (cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reduction etc.)
  • Review specifications for accuracy across documentations
  • Be mindful of project potential technical issues (critical designs, risks etc.)
  • Support/attend weekly quality and engineering meetings.
  • Propose design solutions to change requests (RFQs, IAS, RFCs).
  • Support Program Change Requests (PCR). Coordinate technical integration meetings, analyze, and define technical proposals to meet program needs.
  • Work with supplier and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal RFQ (client changes) impacts
  • Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross functional teams, and upper management.
  • Develop 3D concepts as required to support change management deliverables such as PCR, RFQ, VROM.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • You have 1-3 years relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions. Cabinet experience is an asset.
  • You have solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.)
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office.
  • You are well organized and focused on projects.
  • You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • You like to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your number one priority.
  • You can understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
