Bombardier seeks a Professional Liaison Engineer for an onsite role in Mississauga. You will resolve engineering issues on aircraft components, coordinate with Design, Stress, Materials Technology and Aerodynamics to address problems, interpret drawings and specifications, and keep teams updated on manufacturing changes. Ideal candidates hold a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, five or more years MRB experience or seven years design experience in aerospace, and strong knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation; electrical and systems experience is a plus. What are your contributions to the team?
- Resolve engineering-related issues on Aircraft components and for repairs required during the manufacture of the Bombardier Aerospace products.
- Find solutions to any engineering-related problems with the aircraft structure and/or systems that is reported and raise necessary documentation to overcome the problem quickly and efficiently.
- Repair and/or salvage dispositions with respect to Engineering specifications, concepts and integrity of design, as well as, sign for dispositions on behalf of the Engineering department.
- Work closely with all specialists within Engineering, such as Design, Stress, Materials Technology, Aerodynamics, Performance and others as required in order to problem solve and or address any problems reported.
- Support Production, Design Engineering, Procurement & Quality in coordinating resolutions to issues and providing Corrective Action involving Engineering.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Provide status, updates & keep current on information regarding manufacturing changes & problems.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field
- You have a minimum of five (5) years MRB experience or seven (7) years design experience in Aerospace
- You have excellent knowledge of aircraft structure & system installation technical requirements
- You have Electrical & Systems experience (considered an asset)
- You are an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team environment.
