The ideal candidate has 1 to 2 years of administrative or academic support experience, preferably in higher education, with superb organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a professional service oriented approach, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team. The Program and Training Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to three graduate programs: the Master of Psychology – Health and Wellness, the Master of Counselling Psychology – Art Therapy, and the Master of Arts / Master of Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
This role works closely with Program Directors, faculty, training departments, and students to support the effective delivery of academic programming, clinical and experiential training processes, and accreditation-related requirements. The Assistant helps ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the programs and the timely completion of academic and administrative milestones.
The Program and Training Assistant serves as a key point of contact and ambassador for the programs, engaging professionally with students, faculty, internal departments, and external partners. The role requires strong organizational capacity, attention to detail, discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced graduate academic environment. Strict adherence to confidentiality, professional standards, and institutional privacy requirements is essential.

Expected Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00
Work Environment (Physical Demands): The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
